With this edition hold the Carinthian's last number of this year in your hands. After we took stock of our work in the previous issue 10. October and the current discussions about Carinthia's culture of remembrance in the commemorative year 2025, We now have to warn about this in this issue, the conflicts and disputes of the seventies- and the 1980s.
There are clearly efforts from radical fringe areas of the Slovenian ethnic group and from the left-wing scene around Klagenfurt University, to revive precisely these old confrontations and conflicts. This has already been shown in the debate about the Defensive Fighters Association's memorial stone for the Carinthians abducted and murdered by Tito's partisans. It now turns out to be a strange smear- and protest actions, which are obviously intended to give the impression, that right-wing or home-loving circles wanted to do something like this here.
In any case, we at the Carinthian Homeland Service want to continue on our course of reconciliation and understanding and call for this, to finally put to rest the old conflicts in the Carinthian ethnic group dispute.
