Summer is over and we – including the employees of the Carinthian Homeland Service – are back to autumn work. And this means that the preparations for the 10. October and the corresponding celebrations. As was the case for the first time last year, the working groups will become the Carinthian homeland- and traditional associations on the day before 10. October will hold our own celebration in the Klagenfurt Landhaushof at the Carinthian Unity Monument. This time the keynote speaker will be the historian Univ. Prof. Dr. Stefan Karner appears. The preparatory work is again essentially in the area of the home service, whereby our old friend Dr. Bruno Burchard is once again working as a proven organizer.

However, the past few summer weeks have not been quiet or really work-free. The police operation at the so-called “Antifa Camp” at Perschmann Hof in southern Carinthia and the subsequent media and political debate naturally also concerned the homeland service. More on this inside the page.
The first challenge this fall, however, will be the discussion in the Carinthian State Museum, which, at our suggestion, about the Carinthian culture of remembrance 24. will take place in September. The detailed invitation is also inside the sheet.
