In this issue of “Kärntner” You can also find the most recent resolution of that round table, which the Carinthian Homeland Service has now carried out together with the Carinthian Consensus Group for the third time.
Representatives of the three larger state parliament parties met for the first time last November at the Sandwirt Hotel in Klagenfurt, Historians and speakers from the Carinthian local associations met at such a round table, to discuss the questions of Carinthia's culture of remembrance that were relevant to the previous year. After that, there was such a round table last February, in order to debate the topic of the Alpine Adriatic peace region in connection with the current wars in the presence of the President of the State Parliament, Andreas Scherwitzl. And now, finally last June, The last round table discussed the problem of migration in connection with the autochthonous ethnic groups.
The Carinthian Homeland Service is working on these initiatives, beyond daily politics and party political controversies, to strengthen the dialogue in the country on essential fundamental questions. In our opinion, this is also a form of service to the homeland.
