Another summer is over, and the Carinthian autumn with the celebrations to commemorate the referendum 10. October 1920 has begun. Inside the page, the interested reader will find the invitation to the Carinthian homeland's commemorative event- and traditional associations, the on 9. October around 14:00 Clock in the Klagenfurt Landhaushof, one day before the actual memorial day, takes place.
But why have your own celebration of your homeland?- and traditional associations? The reason is simple: At the actual national celebration on 10. October in the Landhaushof, as traditional bearers of the referendum and defensive struggle, we were always invited as guests, but were no longer able to have a say. And that, although the monument in the country house courtyard is owned by the local associations, i.e. the Homeland Service and the Defense Fighters Association, stands.
After a corresponding, However, following an unsuccessful intervention by Governor Peter Kaiser, the KHD organized its own celebration as an alternative, with us the country, especially the President of the State Parliament, officially received and welcomed. This is the third year we have been running this, to keep the memory of the events so important for Carinthia alive.
